A term in review:
...and that's Term 2 done! Again we have managed to achieve so much. As part of our Geography topic, Sue from Wessex Water came in and discussed all things toilet and sewers. The things people lose down the loo! We also had a trip to the cinema for the Behaviour Award - a lovely day out in sunny Weston, including lunch on the seafront (coats, hats, scarves and gloves highly recommended! Brrr).
On top of all of this, in English, we have written non-chronological reports and updated the story of Jack and the Beanstalk into a modern classic. We continued to use expanded noun phrases and parenthesis to enhance character and setting descriptions as well as using subordinating and coordinating conjunctions and clauses. We can multiply two digit by two digit numbers (of course the challenges made it much harder;) and divide four digit numbers. Multiple step word problems have also been conquered - include the joy that is bar modelling.
Now for a well deserved break before we head into yet another busy term and new year. Have a fantastic break and a Happy Christmas and we will see you in January.

pe:
Our PE days this term are Monday and Thursday for both classes. Please send your children to school wearing PE kit on these days. For PE, children should wear shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms that are plain and in a dark colour. The children must also wear their house PE top and dark coloured trainers.
