Shirehampton Friends of Shirehampton Primary School
Friends of Shirehampton Primary School is our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), bringing together parents, carers, staff and members of our school community to support the school and create additional opportunities for our children.
The Friends organise events and activities throughout the year, helping to bring our school community together while raising valuable funds for projects, resources and experiences which enhance school life.
Everyone in our school community is welcome to get involved – whether you can help regularly, volunteer at an occasional event or simply support one of our fundraising activities.
What We Do
Friends of SPS organise a range of events and fundraising activities throughout the school year.
These have included seasonal events, discos, gift events, fairs, family activities and refreshments at school events. Money raised helps provide additional resources, activities and experiences for children which would not otherwise be possible within the school budget.
The Friends work closely with the school to identify how funds raised can have a positive impact for children across Shirehampton Primary School.
Get Involved
We are always pleased to welcome parents and carers who would like to get involved with Friends of SPS.
There are lots of ways to help, and getting involved does not mean making a large or regular commitment. You might be able to:
- Help at an event
- Support fundraising activities
- Share ideas
- Help with preparations
- Attend meetings
- Support Friends events with your family
Whether you can offer a little time occasionally or would like to become more involved, your support is very welcome.
Events & Fundraising
Information about upcoming Friends of SPS events and fundraising activities will be shared with families through Arbor and our Friends of SPS Facebook page.
Where tickets are required for an event, these can be booked through PTA Events.
Meetings & AGM
Friends of SPS meet throughout the year to plan events, discuss fundraising and agree how funds can be used to support the school.
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) provides an opportunity to review the work of Friends of SPS and plan for the year ahead.
