Shirehampton Primary School uses Arbor as our main system for communicating with parents and carers and managing important information about your child.
Arbor provides families with a simple and secure way to access information and receive communications from school in one place.
We encourage all parents and carers to download the Arbor Parent App and ensure that notifications are switched on so that important messages from school are not missed.
What We Use Arbor For
We use Arbor to communicate important information with families and to help manage aspects of school life.
Through Arbor, parents and carers may receive:

As we continue to develop our use of Arbor, additional features may also become available to families.
Download the Arbor Parent App
The easiest way to access Arbor is through the Arbor Parent App, which is available for smartphones and tablets.
Once your account has been activated, you can use the app to receive school communications and access information relating to your child.
Using Arbor, you can:
- Report your child's absence
- Receive messages and updates from school
- View your child's attendance
- Update your contact details
- Complete online forms and give permissions
- Make payments for trips, clubs and school meals
- Book parents' evenings
The Arbor Parent App is available free of charge on both Apple and Android devices.
Parents can also access Arbor through the Parent Portal using any web browser.
First Time Logging In
When your child joins Shirehampton Primary School, you will receive an email inviting you to set up your Arbor account.
Please use the email address registered with the school when activating your account.
Keeping Your Details Up to Date
It is important that we hold accurate contact information for every child.
Please ensure that your details are kept up to date, including:
- Home address
- Telephone numbers
- Email address
- Emergency contacts
- Medical information
If any of your circumstances or contact details change, please update your information through Arbor or contact the school office if you need assistance.
Reporting an Absence
If your child is going to be absent from school, please report their absence through Arbor as soon as possible.
Please provide a clear reason for the absence when submitting the information.
If your child is absent for more than one day, please continue to keep the school updated as required.
