Welcome to Shirehampton Primary School.

We are a large, inclusive primary school at the heart of the Shirehampton community, providing education and care for children from the age of two through to Year 6.

We want every child to feel safe, happy and valued, while developing the knowledge, skills, confidence and aspirations they need for the future. We have high expectations for all our children and recognise that every child is unique. Our dedicated staff work together to ensure that children receive the support, challenge and opportunities they need to thrive.

We are proud of our caring and inclusive school community. Positive relationships are at the heart of school life, and we work closely with parents and carers to ensure that children feel supported both academically and personally throughout their time with us.

Our school includes provision for two, three and four-year-olds, mainstream classes from Reception to Year 6 and our Specialist Resource Base for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Together, these form one school community in which every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their potential.

Alongside developing strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics, we provide children with a broad and balanced curriculum designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and a love of learning. We want children to enjoy their time at Shirehampton, develop their individual strengths and leave us well prepared for the next stage of their education.

We value our place within the local community and the relationships we have with our families. Parents and carers are important partners in children's education, and we encourage open communication between home and school.
